Answer: The oil-injected screw air compressor is a double-shaft positive displacement rotary compressor. The air inlet is located at the upper end of the casing, and the exhaust port is opened at the lower part. Two high-precision main and auxiliary rotors are installed in parallel in the casing. The main rotor has five teeth and the auxiliary rotor has six teeth; the teeth are spirally meshed with each other, and the auxiliary rotor can be directly driven by the main rotor without the help of high-precision synchronous gears. Both ends of the main and auxiliary rotors are supported and positioned by bearings, and some models are equipped with a speed-increasing gear mechanism to meet user needs.

The structural diagrams of twin-screw air compressors with and without speed-increasing gear mechanisms are shown in Figures 3-1 and 3-2 respectively.
