10-22 Explain the reasons for the high oil consumption of screw air compressor units and how to deal with it?

Answer: (1) Fault phenomenon. The lubricating oil adding cycle is short or the air discharged from the unit contains a lot of oil.

(2) Causes.

1) Too much lubricating oil. The correct position should be observed when the unit is loaded. At this time, the oil level should not be higher than half of the oil level mirror;

2) The return oil pipe is blocked;

3) The distance between the installation of the return oil pipe and the bottom of the oil fine separator does not meet the requirements;

4) The exhaust pressure is too low when the unit is running;

5) The oil-gas separation filter element is broken;

6) The partition inside the separation cylinder is damaged;

7) There is oil leakage in the oil system or the main engine shaft seal;

8) The lubricating oil is deteriorated or used beyond the expiration date.

(3) Elimination method

1) Check the oil level and drain it properly;

2) Disassemble and clean the oil return pipe limit hole;

3) Adjust the insertion length of the oil return pipe;

4) Increase the exhaust pressure;

5) Check and replace the oil fine separator;

6) Check the oil and gas barrel and repair the damaged partition;

7) Eliminate oil leakage;

8) Replace the lubricating oil.
